Monday June 28 1943
Got here safe and sound. Starting officers training today and looking forward to it. The planes are getting painted and shined up and the field isnt official until a week or so. We had a dance this last Saturday and I didnt know there were going to be so many British people here. Sounds stupid I reckon, but theres a helluva lotta oversight going on. Yet to meet some American girls.
Blanchefleur - hope youre okay. Heard the other men who got here on schedule had to hitch a ride with the sailors. Maybe they saw Riggs. Hope Riggs is okay too.
Will send another postcard soon.
